Anne (Te Rarawa, Te Aupouri) has worked in early childhood education for over 30 years as a teacher, head teacher, specialist teacher (early intervention), advisor and consultant. She has a strong professional interest in implementing, developing and improving systems for children who need additional learning support. Anne has been part of many innovative projects in education. She recently co-ordinated the University of Otago research and implementation of ENGAGE, a self regulation programme for early years in Aotearoa. Having worked with regional and national Ministry of Education, she has achieved a good understanding of how to effectively manage the implementation of government strategy and policy to improve provision, participation and inclusion in education.
