We are driven by a strong purpose to navigate the best outcomes for all tamariki. In doing this, we recognize the importance of providing the right support for the key stakeholders for the future of all tamariki. Both kaiako and whānau play essential roles in the wellbeing of tamariki and helping to shape their future. Ama’s aim is to support everyone involved.
Ama Associates was aptly named by Directors Anne Denham and Lynda Harris with their vision in mind to support and guide all those who have the most influence on our tamariki. Ama is the outrigger of a waka, often used when the waka is deeper than it is wider. The ama gives the waka stability and strength helping to steer and navigate.
The use of evidence-based, and solution focused strategies help to ensure the continued improvement, and growth of the wellbeing of all tamariki across Aotearoa New Zealand.
The aim of Ama Associates is to guide and support our stakeholders through complex or difficult situations so together we can achieve the best outcomes for tamariki. As the ama supports and strengthens the navigation of the waka, our work supports and strengthens the work of kaiako to provide the best outcomes for all tamariki.
